Dental Crowns and Bridges
Gaps caused by missing teeth can be eliminated by installing bridges in the mouth. Dental bridges combine crowns and implants to improve chewing function and create a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.
During treatment, the teeth surrounding the gap are lightly buffed and prepared for impressions. After a mold of those teeth has been made, crowns are created to fit the teeth perfectly. A replacement tooth is then bonded to the crowns, creating a single "bridge" that is placed into the patient's mouth. Dental bridges, once cemented to the teeth, provide durable, long-lasting support.
The tooth-colored materials used to make crowns give dental bridges a completely natural look. Thus, in addition to restoring function, dental bridges can improve the appearance of one's smile.
